If you love dogs and genuinely care about their well-being, let’s talk about a career as a professional dog trainer. I am starting a business in the RTP area to train dogs and enhance the lives of dogs and their owners. I’m partnering with a company that has been training dogs for over 40 years to ensure we are do a great job for our customers – human and canine. In addition to normal obedience training, we will provide therapy dog and other specialized training. Trainers can take their dogs to work with them! We want people who view this as a career, and we will provide the training you need at no cost to you. In fact, you will be compensated while you are being trained. Training will occur in Utah, and your expenses will be paid while you are there for 2 weeks. Prior dog training experience is not required. There is potential to be promoted to lead trainer for the right person. The right people will have these qualifications: • Upbeat, motivated self-starter who is passionate about dogs • Reliable – does what they’re supposed to, shows up on time • Strong customer service orientation • Creativity and problem-solving skills • Comfortable working with clients individually and leading group trainings • Interact professionally and effectively with all pet owners • Reliable transportation • A flexible schedule, including ability to work evenings and weekends Specific responsibilities include: • Conduct private training sessions in clients’ homes • Lead group classes at area parks • Implement training to the company’s standards • Identifying issues and problem-solving to address challenges swiftly • Assist in developing and maintaining community relationships by attending events (home and garden shows, etc), building company awareness by training in the community, and provide lunch and learn sessions with local businesses (veterinarians, etc.) • Assist in maintaining client relationships.
