Summary: -The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for the safe operation of all company owned trucking equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: -Assist with all truck moves, including tractor-trailers and straight truck needs. -Assist with proper loading and unloading of company trucks. -Assist with various warehouse tasks as directed by the supervisor. -Operate in a safe manner, obeying all local/state/federal regulations and all company safety policies. -Fulfill all Department of Transportation requirements, including periodic medical evaluations, completing forms for driver qualification file, hours-of-service and vehicle inspection logs. -Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. -Perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: -Must be at least 21 years of age in order to apply to this job. -High School Diploma or equivalent. -Prefer 1 year driving experience. Exception could be made for the right candidate. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: -Must have a valid Driver’s license for vehicles 26,000 pounds and less. -Must have or have the ability to obtain Department of Transportation Medical Certificate.
