Juliet Ibrahim is a Ghanaian actress, film producer and singer of Lebanese, Ghanaian and Liberian descent. She won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2010 Ghana Movie Awards for her role in 4 Play. She has been referred to as the "Most Beautiful West African Woman" according to A-listers Magazine. Juliet Ibrahim was born to a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian- Liberian mother. She is the oldest child and has two sisters including the actress Sonia Ibrahim, and a brother. Juliet and with her siblings spent the longest part of their childhood in Lebanon and Ivory Coast due to civil wars. She had her primary education in Lebanon, then proceeded to Ivory Coast for her secondary education where she lived with her parents. She studied at the Ghana Institute of Languages, where she studied English, French and Spanish. She also studied Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Ibrahim has commented that in Africa she is not regarded as a black woman because of her skin tone, but outside Africa she is recognized as being black. She objected to the term 'half-caste' and said that she was 'Black and proud of it. This coming year, SAiD is pushing forward the vision of a new Africa narrative, sharing success stories that strengthen and enrich our community. Our 2022 themed campaign is #SharedJourney which symbolic “insight, knowledge and experiences” campaign gesture promotes storytellers and seek out the stories that shed light on who we are as people. Until we share our journey through our stories, conversation and celebration the world will remain in total oblivion of our beautiful heritage and our achievement. A campaign based on cross-fertilization of insight, knowledge and experiences. A campaign that rises from lessons learned from each and every one of us’ and from our previous mistakes and successes through deeper dialogue and insight. Society for Africans in the Diaspora (SAiD) is a non-profit American organization. Through various activities and our educational program, we are dedicated to to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among peoples, leaders, and institutions of Africa and the United States in a global context. Across the fields of business, culture, arts, education, and policy, the Society provides insight, generates ideas, and promotes collaboration to address present challenges and create a shared future. We also foster Africa-America friendship and cross-cultural exchange through select tours in Africa and the US, lectures, conferences, awards and other events on both side of the Atlantic. Society for Africans in Diaspora has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about Africa among Americans and strengthen relations between Africa and the United States. At a time when the eyes of the world are on Africa, Society for Africans in Diaspora is indispensable.
