Half day, in person workshop offered on the creative flow and grounding principles of centerpiece design with Max Gill. We are honored to, once again, partner with world-renowned and adored floral designer, Max Gill! We are offering two half day Centerpiece Design workshops, meaning the same workshop will be offered twice (Feb 2nd and again on Feb 3rd), so you only need to sign up for one day. Max Gill workshops are few and far between - take advantage of this rare in person opportunity and design your heart out! All levels of floral design experience welcome. Learn the process and principles to consistently design beautiful centerpieces that express your creative voice with Max Gill. Max will be in conversation with you through this in-person workshop at his studio in Emeryville. You’ll learn technique but also about Max’s own inspiration sources, creative journey and evolution of style to help you hone your own. Max’s core principles and methods of floral design are informed by natural process, specialty blooms, and botanical rarities gleaned from local growers. We will employ a limited palette and minimal elements to focus on building a solid spatial foundation for floral design that can scale from the centerpiece to complex installations. ⁠ "SMALL PRINT" DETAILS: Feb 2nd OR Feb 3rd from 9am1pm PST at the Max Gill Design studio in Emeryville, CA. Local in season flowers and design materials will be provided by Gather Flora. Please bring your own snips. Boxed lunches + drinks will also be provided. We welcome you to stay for lunch or take it to go at the conclusion of the workshop. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend and COVID-safe protocols will be enforced in the studio. SCHOLARSHIPS: We are pleased to offer up to 4 scholarships (2 per workshop) to individuals pursuing a professional path within the flower industry from underrepresented communities to attend this workshop free of charge.⁠⁠ Apply here and submit by 5p PST 1/22/22.
