Hear Mozart and Haydn's piano music as they expected it to be played — on a historic fortepiano. Daniel Adam Maltz is a fortepianist based in Vienna, Austria. He is devoted to performing on the historic Viennese fortepianos used by Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven — utilizing the vast range of tones and colors familiar to the composers. Daniel studied historical performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London and at Vienna’s University for Music and Performing Arts Built in 1850 and expanded and refurbished throughout its time as a private residence, the Glen Foerd mansion is currently home to an array of historic domestic artifacts, American and European art, and contemporary art installations. Glen Foerd is a Philadelphia oasis situated at the confluence of the Delaware River and Poquessing Creek. The public is welcome to enjoy the grounds and spectacular river views.
