Description
Are you still working from your couch?
With the onset of Covid-19, most employees were enjoying the “short commute”, zooming in their lounge pants, and spending more time with their families. However, the rise of the Omicron variant has delayed many companies from returning back to the office and this flexibility of working from home continues to present some challenges. Because many of us do not have a designated work space, desk, or adjustable chair, we resort to working at the kitchen table or on the couch. Unfortunately, over time these work habits may lead to pain and fatigue due to awkward postures and poor computer setup.
Whether your work from home situation is temporary or hybrid, it is important to create a workspace that is beneficial to your health. There are common household items that you can use to make your existing furniture more ergonomically sound, such as using books as a laptop riser and a rolled up towel for low back support. Simple adjustments can make a world of a difference, and greatly enhance your comfort and productivity. Take the time to consider your home office ergonomics, and your body will thank you.
