Press release from Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District: Ashley Berrones January 17, 2022 Five Harlingen CISD students earned positions in Texas Music Educators Association Texas All-State ensembles. All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. To qualify for All-State ensembles, students go through a series of audition rounds, in which their musical skills are put to the test. More than 70,000 students initially enter the TMEA All-State competitive process. From those, only 1,875 students across Texas are selected to perform in 18 All-State ensembles. All-State musicians will perform in San Antonio at the Henry B. González Convention Center as part of the 2022 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic/Convention on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
