Press release from the Williamson County Government: January 16, 2022 On Friday January 28th, 2022 the Williamson County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint from 10PM to 12PM. The checkpoint will be on Franklin Rd between Meadow Lake Rd and Wilson Pike Circle. This will be a multijurisdictional operation with the Brentwood Police Department and the Tennesee Highway Patrol. The purpose of this checkpoint is to promote traffic safety, as well as deter and enforce impaired driving laws. Simultaenously the Metro Nashville Police Department will also be holding a sobriety checkpoint on Franklin Pike in Davidson County. In 2021 of the 96 reported fatal and serious injury crashes, 21.9% of these were alcoholrelated. This press release was produced by the Williamson County Government.
