We are The Church for the Rest of Us! You’ve come across something rather odd: A Church For People Who Don’t Like Church....but love beer. It sounds stupid, but the reality is that there are a lot of people who are looking for God and seeking a spiritual dimension to life, but just don’t want to go to church to find it. Ask someone what comes to mind when you say “Christian” and you’ll hear words like, “boring,” “judgmental,” “religious,” and “too political.” Yet when Jesus explained why he came he said, “I have come that you may have life to the full” (John 10:10). Somehow, Christians have really screwed up what it means to be a Christian. CRU(The Church for the Rest of Us) is a little... different. Got some serious doubts about Christianity? Even more negative towards church? Not sure you could fit in, or afraid lightning might strike if you showed up? Join the club. Seriously, CRU is made up of people who once felt very far from God and could never picture themselves as part of a church. So, bring your doubts and questions, wear whatever you want, and please don’t feel like you have to put on a fake smile. At CRU, no perfect people are allowed. "What if I don't believe in God?" We understand. And you're still welcome! We're hoping that maybe you're open to exploring faith, and to the idea that maybe there is a God and maybe He's worth knowing.
