Press release from the City of Champaign: January 16, 2022 On Jan. 15, 2022, at approximately 6:36 p.m., Champaign Police responded to the 1700 block of Henry Street for the report of a shooting with injuries. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old female in the kitchen area of a private residence with a gunshot wound to her lower right leg. Officers immediately provided medical aid on scene.
