Description
Press release from the Town of Davidson:
January 17, 2022
Town staff will continue to work throughout the day to clear roadways. As the weather warms this afternoon and ice begins to thaw, staff will be able to plow more streets. Public Works is prioritizing major roadways and will work as quickly as possible to clear side streets. It is likely plowing will continue tomorrow and we ask for continued patience from residents as our teams work through all town-owned roads.
Residents should please continue to exercise caution, particularly as temperatures drop overnight which increases the potential for refreezing and black ice. Thank you.
The Town of Davidson will be closing the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 12 p.m. today, Monday, January 17. Please note that the non-emergency number shared earlier will not be monitored moving forward.
Residents should call 911 for emergencies.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management and the American Red Cross have closed the emergency shelters in the county.
As a reminder, we encourage all community members to sign up for CharMeck Alerts to receive any future emergency communications here.
