Man Rescued After Fallen Tree Crushes Buckhead Home

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta firefighters rescued a man who was trapped in a Buckhead home Monday morning after a tree fell on the house, authorities said. Atlanta Fire Rescue officials said firefighters were called just before 7 a.m. to a home on the 300 block of Old Ivy Road where the tree had fallen onto the house, trapping the man. The firefighters managed to move the tree and get the man out of the house just after 8 a.m., fire officials said in a tweet. The man, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The man was asleep at the time the tree fell, and was trapped in the garage, WSB-TV2 reported.
