Songwriting Lessons Offered So you’ve always wanted to write a song, but weren’t sure where to start. Maybe you find it difficult to finish songs. Or perhaps you’re an instrumentalist who has a hard time with lyrics. Songwriting Lessons with Lore and Lyric is for you! The first 30 minute lesson is free! Laura Beth Johnson of Lore and Lyric is an award winning poet, vocalist and songwriter based in Upstate New York. She is known for her dark blend of story and soul. Laura holds a Bachelor’s in Writing and Communications from Houghton College. Her debut, indie-folk album, The Sorrow Estate was released in 2016 boasting haunting melodies and brash vocals. A spoken word performance on the album titled ‘Crazy and Special’ was awarded the Lucy Monro Brooker Poetry Prize from the University of Indianapolis. The piece was published by Post Mortem Press. In 2019, Laura was awarded a Songwriting Fellowship by Image Magazine to attend the Glen Writing Workshop. Laura started writing songs at twelve years old. She has been teaching the art of songwriting for four years. With Lore and Lyric, Laura offers to help you sing your story. All sessions on Zoom at $30/30 minute lesson of $50/one hour.
