APPLY here: View ALL open positions: Responsible for performing maintenance duties, including electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical repairs, painting, winterizing buildings, changing belts and filters in air conditioning system, parking lot maintenance, fence repair and building repairs. Perform storm water system monitoring and maintenance. Ensure that facility is always kept in a safe and operational condition by responding to repair requests in a timely manner. Maintain a proactive demeanor, identifying potential maintenance issues and safety concerns. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Responsible for performing maintenance duties, including electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, cleaning storm gutters, painting, winterizing buildings, changing belts and filters in air conditioning system, parking lot maintenance, fence repair and minor building repair. Complete daily building and equipment inspections and report any problems to Maintenance Manager. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, conduct tests and adjust as needed. Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Remain current on preventative maintenance schedules and storm water maintenance. Monitor outside lighting, signage for correct operation and make repairs as needed. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs Monitor parking lots for fuel or other material spilled and take corrective action as needed to keep spills out of storm water system. Monitor Stormwater equipment daily, make repairs as needed, and schedule and conduct ongoing maintenance. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performance of duties. Seek out and identify potential maintenance problems and safety concerns. Proper use of plumbing, electrical, Stormwater and fire codes. Follow all safety protocol for proper lifting, posture, and other potential hazards. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Check in with campus managers to inquire about maintenance projects that need to be addressed. Report any workplace-related injuries or other safety hazards to Maintenance Manager or People Services immediately. Help teach other departments what their part is in maintaining their equipment. Provide and teach World Class Customer Experience to employees and customers during your shift. Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. At least 5 years broad-based maintenance experience required and strong troubleshooting abilities. General knowledge of mechanical operations, electricity, plumbing, safety procedures, fire systems, power and hand tools, wiring, soldering and brazing, welding, sweating of copper lines, Pex repairs, commercial appliance repair and troubleshooting, heating and air conditioning units, Forklift operation, man lift operation, operation of skid steer and fire regulations experience is strongly preferred. Must possess a valid Oregon and/or Washington Driver's License with a clean three-year driving record. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. MS Outlook, Word and Excel at a proficient level. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, mechanical and building plans, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Additional Notes While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Must be able to communicate with a two-way radio. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The company operates out of several buildings spread across a multi-acre campus. Ability to travel between buildings is necessary.
