Construction Labor for Heavy Civil Construction Company - Immediate opening available in Charlotte, NC Area Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Must have transportation to work and be willing to travel to nearby cities within state of NC. * Requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outside in the elements. * Must be capable and willing to dig with shovel, handle rake, and work with various hand tools. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: * Must have at least 6 months of experience with day-to-day activities related to Heavy Civil Construction * Ability to receive written or oral instructions * Establish and maintain effective working relationship with office and field personnel * Must be committed to contributing to a culture of safety, looking out for yourself and others Physical Requirements: * Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. * Work long shifts * Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements. * Must have good hand-eye coordination, quick reaction times. * Able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots. * Able to walk moderate distances to reach work area up to 1/2 mile * Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully * Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance * Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone * Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Please contact (336) 738-0626 with questions.
