Superior River Terminals Indiana, LLC is looking to add to its talented team of operators. We recently took over the operations at the Port of Indiana Terminal in Jeffersonville, IN that used to be the Watco facility and prior to that the Kinder-Morgan facility and are looking add to our workforce. The ideal candidate for this position will have several years of safe forklift operating experience, barge offload experience, strong attention to detail, functions well in a team oriented and fast paced environment and a strong can-do work ethic. Responsibilities: - Operate powered industrial forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars, trucks or storage facilities. -Maintain equipment with basic daily checks and minor maintenance. -Work with truck drivers to accurately load outbound trucks -Unload railcars, barges, and trucks and ensure inventory is accurately received and stored in the warehouse -Understand safe lifting practices and setup rigging for a variety of lifting configurations. -Assist with accurately tracking daily, weekly, and monthly inventory levels. -Communicate in a professional manner with the rest of the team, foremen, customers and management. -Load outbound railcars, barges, and trucks to BOL requirements. -Other responsibilities as assigned. Basic Qualifications: -High School degree or equivalent -Be able to operate forklifts safely and efficiently -Team oriented -Ability to consistently demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and dependability in a fast-paced environment -Has strong verbal and written communication skills, and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications -3+ years in warehouse operations running a forklift. -Or 3+ years in barge offload experience -Strong mechanical knowledge -Jobs in leadership roles Hours: -6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (8 hour working shift) M-F -Overtime as needed to meet customer demands -Weekend and Holiday work may be required to meet customer expectations -$21 per hour starting pay, more possible with experience.
