Team Member – Landscape Construction Overview: Wichman Landscape Construction is a full-service design and build landscape construction company specializing in natural stone projects and is seeking to to hire energetic and talented landscape construction individuals to join our team for 2022 and beyond. The Right Candidate: Wichman Landscape Construction is looking for the right candidate that is well organized, confident, and has the self-assurance to assist the team in constructing outstanding projects that not only make the client happy and meet their needs, but will give you and the team the pride in accomplishing something truly outstanding. The right candidate must possess the following skills: Core Capabilities that we look for:  Customer and quality focus  Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)  Team work  Excellent problem-solving abilities  Responsibility and dependability  Ethics and integrity Job Duties:  Possess a valid driver license with medical card to operate trucks (14,000 – 19,000 GVWR) while towing trailers (10,000 Lbs). CDL preferred but not required  Bi Lingual preferred but not required  Read and layout landscape construction plans  Help organize and execute job tasks for all project phases  Interaction with the client  Operate & maintain small tools & equipment such as chain saws, sod cutters, tillers, plate compactors, pumps, etc...  Operate & maintain excavating equipment such as a mini excavators, skid loaders, large excavators, and compactors, etc...  Knowledge of site clearing, grading, drainage, boulders, natural stone steps, retaining walls. free standing walls, patios, pool decks, hot tub decks, water features, footers, masonry, outdoor fireplaces & fire pits, outdoor kitchens & outdoor living spaces, flagstone, concrete flat work, natural stone & concrete pavers, natural stone & interlocking block, planting bed preparation, plant installation along with standard horticultural practices, and landscape lighting, Team Leader Earning Potential: Hourly rate, depending on experience, for this position is between $18 – 25/Hour, plus benefits (listed below), payable weekly, less all necessary payroll deductions. You are eligible for overtime. All overtime is paid at time and one half after 40 hours. Expect to work a 50-hour week from March through November and 40-hour weeks during the months of December, January, and February. After the first ninety (90) days of your employment, you will be eligible to receive the following benefits: • Vacation, Sick or Personal Leave: You will have five (5) paid vacation days, and three (3) sick or personal leave days per calendar year. If you do not use these days, you will lose them. They do not carry over from year to year and any unused vacation, sick or personal leave days will not be paid out, if you leave the company for any reason. • Holidays: You will be paid for the following holidays unless they fall on a Saturday or Sunday: New Year's Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Additional benefits such as supplemental insurance, additional vacation, personal leave days and holidays will be afforded to you as you advance within the company and are given at the owners' discretion. • Bonuses: Annual bonuses are based upon overall company performance and are given at the owners' discretion.
