Major League Dodgeball (MLD) is currently seeking team owners for the MLD | South dodgeball conference headquartered in Texas. This is a ground floor opportunity to own a pro-style sports team in an exciting and competitive sport. Major League Dodgeball (MLD) is a professional-style dodgeball league that showcases the exciting sport of competitive dodgeball. MLD delivers top level dodgeball content featuring the fast-paced and exciting sport of dodgeball along with the colorful personalities and colorful jerseys of the game. The goal of MLD is to elevate the competitive sport of dodgeball to the professional sports level and to create inherent value for the league, team owners, players, fans, investors and sponsors. The MLD platform facilitates team owners and players to gain fans, sponsors, revenues, game experiences and legitimacy. Teams are individually owned, allowing team owners to market their teams to their market base for income-generating purposes. Revenues generated by teams through merchandising (jersey sales, etc.), online streaming, sponsorships and licensing go directly to team owners and players. Though a departure from past dodgeball practices, this business model is standard throughout professional sports. The team owner will develop a pro-style team, hold local tryouts to attract the best players and participate in MLD events primarily conducted in the south-central area of the United States. The anticipated name of the team will be the Houston Matrix, however the team owner can establish another name. Team organizers and owners wishing to participate in this conference and with MLD are urged to send the following information. - Name of team owner. - Brief description of dodgeball or sports organizing experience, participation and/or related competencies. - Name of the team to include location and name (LA Express, Seattle Sprite, Mexico City Federación, Torontosaurus Rex or Dallas Velocity for examples). - Team logo (if developed). - Men’s (open) or women’s division.
