Immediate openings for full-time window, door, siding installers Qualified candidates will have experience with general carpentry, power tools, window installation; exterior door frame and door construction and installation; siding installation; drywall construction, and interior trim applications. Pride in workmanship and excellent customer service skills a must. We provide truck and tools for the job. Candidates must also be very dependable and have a valid driver’s license, and transportation to Chapman headquarters and/or job sites on occasion. POSITION DESCRIPTION The primary purpose of this position is to install all company products accurately according to company procedures and guidelines always in a safe and timely manner with courtesy and professionalism. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: • 1. Arrives at each installation and service appointment as scheduled, • 2. Installs all products correctly according to company procedures and guidelines, • 3. Respects customers’ property, minimize intrusion, and leave work area clean, • 4. Completes all necessary paper work associated with installations and service calls accurately, • 5. Attends Production Department meetings as required, • 6. Wears the Chapman uniform on the job, observing rules of good grooming and hygiene, • 7. Maintains a pleasant and professional attitude when dealing with customers, • 8. Demonstrates professional behavior while in company uniform and in company vehicles. • 9. Exercises and enforces compliance to company safety policies and OSHA regulations, • 10. Other job-related duties as assigned by management. ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Must be proficient in reading & writing using the English language • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure. • Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Must be able to lift 100 pounds from floor to waist • Must be able to perform repetitive bending, turning, twisting, kneeling and reaching motions, in addition to lifting some materials overhead • Must be able to use power tools and hand tools safely and accurately • Must have mechanical abilities • Must be able to work safely from step and extension ladders. EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma/GED and/or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • For the protection of our employees and customers mandatory background check and random drug testing will be performed. CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Lead Renovator Certificate certification class will be provided and paid for by Chapman. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work in all types of environments under all types of weather conditions.
