Description
I haven’t posted here for at least a couple of years, but really looking for some new things, projects, ideas, shows, and people to get together with and play and create some new sounds as we enter 2022. In 2018 and 2019, I was playing so often that I could barely keep my own schedule straight, and it was the best musical situation that I had ever been in. Once Covid hit though, everything and everyone stopped and I’m hoping that we are near the end of this and live music and new music will once again be at the top of my list, and yours, of things to do. Really looking forward to getting back out there on a regular basis. Things you should know about me: I play with multiple bands, musicians and artists, and do have some gigs booked for March and April. It has made me a significantly better drummer, and goes hand in hand with why I get to do what I do with as many people that happen to call on me. I am incredibly reliable whether it be for a show, a rehearsal or a studio session. If you need me to learn songs in a day, I will. If you need me to show up for a rehearsal, I will and I’ll be early and stay late if needed. I’ve played as many as 3 gigs in a day with 3 different artists, and was totally prepared and on time for all of them. I don’t care about political leanings, personal lifestyle choices, religion, color, etc. If you are a decent person with a good attitude, can play your instrument, and you need a good drummer, I’ll play with you. I like to get paid for the work I put in. Does this mean that I won’t do a gig for nothing…no. But it does mean that I am a professional and the people and bands I usually play with are as well, and they know what their value is, and so do I. I just want to play music. Good music, good songs, that might actually turn some people on. Drum gear…I’ve got more drum gear than you can possibly imagine, different kits and cymbals for various situations. If you want a specific sound, I can probably make that happen. Feelings on cover vs original music…I’ll do either and have a knack for knowing hundreds and hundreds of songs just from memory. I’ve done tons of cover gigs with no rehearsal and a list of songs and they’ve been seamless. Drumming/musical influences: Punk, rock, alternative, classic rock, funk, singer songwriter, Stewart Copeland, Abe Laboriel Jr, Grant Hart, Bill Stevenson, Butch Vig, Jimmy Chamberlain, Roger Taylor, Steve Gadd, Matt Cameron, Purdie, Ringo, Liberty DeVitto, Clem Burke, Max Weinberg, Pete Thomas, Mike Bordin, George Hurley, and so many more, I could write an entire page on just drummers, musicians and bands that I like. So, I’ve either piqued your interest or completely turned you off and you haven’t even gotten this far. If you are still reading, and you need/want a really good drummer for whatever your situation might be, give a shout. I need to play, hope you do to. Thx!
