Gig Summary: *Looking for help Tuesday Jan 18 around 11AM for about 4 hours. * We are a family business running a small plant shop. We ship out about 40 boxes of plants per week.. In general the process is as follows: -wrap the plants in protective newspaper wrapping -sensitive plants will be wrapped in foam/cotton or extra padding, -tape plant inside a shipping box and stuff the box with newspaper padding -tape box closed -add shipping label This process can take up to 4 hours. *There will be 3 friendly cats on site, if allergic or don’t like animals, it may not be the best fit. Location is in Ditmars-Steinway, 8 minute walk from the last stop of the NW train. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: ● Ensure plants are handled with care, wrapped well and taped down well in the box ● Pull out and put away shipping materials in an organized way ● Help clean, sweep, throw out shipping garbage and organize room after plants are all packed Required Skills/Abilities: ■ For efficiency, we stand while packing. Must be able to stand for the duration of the packing period ■ Able to understand basic directions as to not mix up packages ■ Maintain a friendly vibe but keep focused on the job at hand. ■ Punctuality and flexibility Compensation: $20 dollars an hour
