Aerotech Processing Solution(Metal Finisher/Plating) is looking to hire full time painter in production department at Paterson, NJ Must have the ability to perform the following Essential Functions, we will train the appropriate candidate Responsibility Ability to ensure proper mixing of paints/solvents to appropriate ratios by weight, volume and viscosity. Maintain tolerances in terms of film thickness Maintain paint log, oven log and equipment to facilitate tracking. Familiar; with HVLP gravity feed and conventional air spray gun. Regulates spray gun and ventilates spray booth according to temperature and humidity Ensures proper surface masking Sensitivity to time schedules in order to meet production Understand how cleaners, primers and paints react to each other to create aircraft quality finishes. Basic knowledge of MIL-SPEC paints such as lacquers, enamels, epoxies, urethanes and their applications. Understand and follow waste disposal requirements. Ability to diagnose various paint problems such as fish eye, solvent pops, fade out, orange peel and cracking Able to read and follow prints, routers and assembly procedures. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor Bilingual: English / Spanish preferred Qualification Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently and safely Ability to perform visual inspection on parts Attention to detail and ability to be incredibly careful with fragile parts Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and work well with other Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instruction and procedure Use hand tools such screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, spray gun etc. Work Environment/Physical Demands Proper PPE must be worn at all times. Frequent use of hands and fingers. Frequent reaching with hands and arms. Constant in contact with paint Wear gloves and safety glasses Constant standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting
