We will learn what drinking vinegars are, how to make them and we will sample their unusual flavors. In the world of flavors, sour stands out bringing a burst of acidic brightness which is why bars go through so much citrus. Before lemons and limes were widely and affordably available, much of the world relied on vinegar for that fresh rush of flavor, mixing it with fruit, water, spices, and herbs to make thirst quenchers and fancy drinks. We will learn what drinking vinegars are, how to make them and we will sample their unusual flavors. Facilitated by Dwight Zietlow. Dwight says, “when the tongue is involved, fun is involved!” This is sure to be a super fun workshop! At least 5 attendees needed to hold workshop.
