Description
I'm an amateur pianist (early advanced level) looking for a singer, violinist, or cellist with whom to get together regularly to learn and play duets for fun. A couple of years ago I used to meet with a soprano every week or two to play songs by Wolf and Schubert, found it very enjoyable and learned a bunch in the process.
I'm not a professional pianist by any means. I've been taking lessons for several years. I'm currently learning Mendelssohn's Phantasie Op. 28 and Poulenc's 1st. Nocturne. I'm keen on playing music in the broadly classical tradition, from Baroque to contemporary.
Some background info on me: I am a 52 y.o. man, gainfully employed, living in the East Village. I have a good enough digital piano in my apartment that we could use, but I'm also happy to meet at another place with a piano.
I don't have any requirements of my own other than you love music and that you be around the same level in your instrument as I am in mine. I look forward to hearing from you.
