Learn the basics of bee keeping and get hands on training with active hives. Basic Beekeeping class will cover everything you need to know to successfully care for a hive. Topics include bee anatomy, break down of a hive, hive health, etc. We will start out working in a classroom setting and end the day working in an actual hive. Those wishing to attend should bring or wear long loose-fitting pants with a lite colored long sleeve shirt and close-toed shoes with socks. Bring a lunch and drink. We do have a refrigerator but no microwave. Please don't use any body sprays or heavy perfumes that smell like flowers, you may have more bees as friends than you are ready for.
