A gift of colorful paper flowers for yourself or someone special! Warehouse 4726 hosts a special workshop for Valentines Day, celebrating the love of creativity! This beginner's level workshop will provide all the materials and instructions needed to create beautiful, handmade flowers for a special bouquet that will last a lifetime. Tools to be provided include crêpe paper, scissors, glue, green floristry tape, twigs, and wire. ABOUT THE ARTIST Jean Blackwell Font is a visual artist who uses dried flowers, natural materials, and mixed media in her assemblage works. With this workshop, she will lead beginners into the world of creating artfully crafted paper flowers that can be used as decoration for walls, tables, arrangements, and more. ABOUT WAREHOUSE 4726 Warehouse 4726 is a project of Font Squared, a boutique arts marketing small business with a mission to encourage visual artists to mature in their practice. We offer affordable studio space, community with fellow artists, and resources for career development. Located in the historic Bird Road Art District, we open our doors to the arts community and the wider public for Open Studio on the third Saturday of every month to inspire community, conversation and creativity. Warehouse 4726 is a working artist studio space in The Bird Road Arts District in Miami. Operated by visual artists Jean Blackwell Font and Ignacio Font as a project of Font Squared. As members of the visual arts community here in Miami, we realize the power of the arts and collaboration; our goal is to support visual artists to mature and to think deeper through offering affordable studio space, artist exposure, and career development. We offer creativity and development workshops as part of a community outreach effort in a neighborhood that has been quietly developing an artists’ community for decades.
