Join Refugee Assistance Alliance in this full-day training that will cover everything you need to know about supporting your assigned refugee family with friendship and practical assistance. Topics include: Navigating the USA curriculum & ResourcesCross-cultural work and Best PracticesTrauma Informed CareAnti-Bias Training, Translation Support, and so much moreCome ready to learn with the team members who will be joining you on this 6-12 month journey as together you walk alongside our new neighbors. Please note that this training will take place outdoors in the covered plaza of the temple. It will involve extended periods of sitting and light movement. Masks are required when indoors. Light snacks and beverages will be provided and then we'll break for an hour for lunch.
