Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements: Job Functions: Receives and unloads incoming materials with a review and verification of quantities against purchase orders and information on packing slips, and all other shipping documents. Prepares and coordinates domestic and international shipments according to customer demand, inventory, and production schedules. Interfaces with shipping companies to arrange and schedule shipments and ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Follows customer routing guides to ensure that all requirements are met and followed. Creates, updates, and maintains master file of all routing guides and shipping requirements. Prepares bills of lading, checks items to be shipped against orders to ascertain those quantities and destination are accurate. Loads shipments by lifting items, pallet jack, or forklift and unloads material from our suppliers in a safe and efficient manner. Keeps a tidy and organized workspace. Understanding placement of raw material, finished goods, and other materials will be needed to keep things organized properly. Assists in maintaining the warehouse and inventory levels, including but not limited to all shipping supplies. Keeps accurate shipping records by updating the ERP system and by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports. Handles issues arising in shipping or inventory handling. Actively participate in the continual improvement process and give support to teamwork and team-oriented activities. Assists in corrective and preventive action activities, when needed. May need to perform job-related activities as required or assigned. Technical: Must be able to read & follow documented processes Must have knowledge of customer services needs and quality standards. Must have proficient computer skills and be capable of learning new software programs. Must have good time management and organization skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to arrange objects and actions in a certain order according to a set of rules or instructions. Must have high attention to detail. Must be an active listener. Must have critical thinking skills to identify possible problems and solutions Must have good mathematical skills. Must be able to interact with co-workers courteously and professionally. Must have a good attendance record. Physical Must be able to see details at a close range. Must be able to use hands and arms in handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating objects. Must be able to have considerable use of your arms and legs, moving your whole body. Must be able to climb, lift moderate to moderately heavy weight, balance, walk, stoop, and handle materials and objects throughout an 8 hour shift. Must be able to spend majority of work shift standing. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in shipping and receiving environment. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: We require masks inside of the building.
