EAST HAVEN, CT — A ski-masked man robbed a Foxon Road laundromat Friday night, East Haven police said.
Police got a call around 8 p.m. reporting a robbery at the EZ Wash Laundromat, according to East Haven police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo.
Murgo said that according to the employee, a white or Hispanic man dressed in all "dark-colored" clothing including jacket, ski mask, jeans, sneakers and gloves went into the business and handed the worker a note saying "he had a gun and that he knew where the money was located."
Murgo said the man then showed the worker "what was believed to be the handle of a firearm in the pocket of his jacket."
He then, "reached over the counter, grabbed cash, and fled on foot eastbound towards Dominoes," Murgo said.
No one was injured during this incident, which remains under investigation, Murgo said.
Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity is asked to contact Detective Molly Perry at [email protected] or 203-468-3839.
