Here are the top three stories in Burlington today: A Catamount is gaining national attention for his stellar performance on the court. Ryan Davis, UVM's star forward and reigning America East Player of the Year, has made the Lou Henson Player of the Year Watch List. Davis is currently shooting over 52% from the field and averaging a team-best 17.1 points per game. (WPTZ)A Vermont man convicted of murdering his wife in 1994 could soon strike a deal that gets him out of prison. Gregory Fitzgerald was found guilty in the death of Amy Fitzgerald, a former Army captain and UVM graduate student, and sentenced to life in prison without parole. However, defense attorneys uncovered a plea deal that was offered before the initial trial — one that offers the possibility of parole — which Gregory was reportedly not aware of.
