Press release from the City of Austin: January 14, 2022 Last week we ran out of gas on MoPac. We were going uphill, and there was no shoulder. Half of our truck was in the lane of traffic when it came to a stop. I called 9-1-1 for help. Call Taker, Judy Gwin, was great. She was smart, efficient and service oriented. Please tell her thank you!An officer arrived in just a few minutes. Officer Jeffrey Vance was fantastic! He did a great job getting us off the highway to a safe spot. Please let him know how much we appreciate what he did for us. This experience made me very proud of Austin PD! Thank you!! –M.T.
