STRONGSVILLE, OH — On Monday, residents and businesses in Strongsville will take a moment to honor the life and legacy of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. As a federal holiday, MLK Day could also affect the hours of government offices, libraries, public transportation, garbage pickup and other services in Strongsville. Before you head out, here's a roundup of what's open and what's closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in our city: Strongsville municipal administrative offices will be closed. The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center will be open. Strongsville Public Library will be open. Strongsville Schools will be closed. Trash collection will not be impacted. A special Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration was organized by the Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and University Hospitals.
