CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — On Monday, residents and businesses in Cleveland Heights will take a moment to honor the life and legacy of civil rights icon Martin Luther King Jr. As a federal holiday, MLK Day could also affect the hours of government offices, libraries, public transportation, garbage pickup and other services in Cleveland Heights. Before you head out, here's a roundup of what's open and what's closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in our city: Cleveland Heights City Hall will be closed. The Cleveland Heights Community Center will be closed. Heights Libraries will be closed. The Heights Schools will be closed. Trash collection will be delayed one day. A special Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration was organized by the Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center and University Hospitals.
