Buckley is our current foster with Maricopa County. 3yrs Shar Pei mix, on the smaller side, neutered, UTD on shots, and microchipped. Adoption fee only $25 and we can help you will the whole adoption process, no shelter visit needed! He is super sweet and very smart. Just wants to curl up in your lap and snuggle. Can be a touch timid, but learns super quickly! Just a week ago, he was terrified of going outside for walks, and now he takes daily short ones with a lovely focused heel. Loves enrichment games like puzzle feeders. Housebroken, knows sit, stay, down, and beg. Also crate trained and fine to hang out in there. Does not get into stuff that's not his, no counter surfing or chewing, and doesn't mind dressing up for you! Not sure how he is with kids, cats, or other dogs. He tends to be timid in new situations though, so he would likely be okay with slow intros as long as there are lots of treats involved! He may appreciate having a confident dog friend in home to help teach him what is safe. Due to current Maricopa County restrictions, we cannot intro dogs prior to adoption though, but we can give lots of tips on how to do it safely and slowly!
