Here are the top 3 stories today in Phoenix: On Thursday, a Phoenix man was sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of three counts of armed bank robbery. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona, 41-year-old Carlos Lewis robbed three banks at gunpoint in late 2019 with his co-conspirators. While Lewis' co-conspirators pointed a gun at bank employees and customers, Lewis would jump the bank teller counters and take cash from the teller drawers. (KTAR.com)On Sunday afternoon, a crash on Interstate 17 near Deer Valley Road caused heavy traffic and delays. According to the Arizona Dept. of Transportation, all the southbound lanes of the freeway south of Deer Valley Road were closed except for the HOV lane.
