I rescued this guy from a kill shelter a while back in order to help him out and build his confidence up and now it's time to find him his forever home. He was found on the side of the road and sadly you could tell that no one had ever taught him or worked with him on anything and he may have even been mistreated a bit so he'll be better off with someone who can be really sweet and calm with him. In the month that I've had him here's what I know and what hes learned. He is house broken and potty trained. For his breed and being about a year old he is very laid back and calm and he loves to give your hand licks and I'd over all very sweet. He doesn't chew up anything, he is an excellent walking, hiking and jogging partner. He keeps up evenly with your pace and wont pull at all. Even when I take him off the leash he stays right by my side like hes on an invisible leash. He has gotten along with all other dogs that I've introduced him to so far. He likes to play a fetch with his toys and he plays with a gentle demeanor. I ve had dogs that play and get really rough but this guy is very chill. He will calmly lay on his bed when in the house. He rides very well in a vehicle and will sometimes fall asleep. When I first got him he had no idea how to get in a vehicle or that he could even jump now he does both. Hes highly motivated by treats and food so he does learn quickly. He knows the basic commands and will shake hands. He also rides on my kayak and will dunk his head under water to pull stuff out. Hes also not gun shy if your looking for that outdoors kinda dog. So far hes made a pretty good watch dog as well. $75.00 rehoming fee to make sure he goes to the right person. If you're looking for a medium sized lab mix puppy who is more on the low energy and calm side he could be for you. He's fixed and had his shots as well and is also heartworm negative. I think if he got to be in a home with another playful dog he would really shine. My dogs are older and dont play much.
