Laura BlairProducer of The Grey Area screening Friday, February 4 at 7:30pm - Theatre 1filmmakersfocus-pulling Laura was born and raised right here in Jacksonville, Fl. She had exposure to TV production at an early age and knew very young what industry she wanted to work in. At 27 years old, she finally got her B.A. in Film & Media Arts from The University of Tampa after starting a family. Her career has successfully stretched through feature film, episodic television, reality television, documentary, commercial, and corporate video. She has worked for large studios and large brands just as much as she has worked for independent 14-year-oldand small brands. It has been an ongoing goal for Laura to make sets more inclusive; not only for women, but for people of color, LQBTQ+, and the disabled. Part of what makes her the most resilient is that Laura juggles the long hours, travel, and stress of working in the film industry with being a single mother. Talk about some Wonder Woman skills. She currently resided in Orlando, Fl with her son, Theo. She works freelance as a Line Producer and Location Manager on commercial productions and is part of the Teamster union. Laura is currently wrapping up season two of a Warner Brothers production for OWN titled “David Makes Man”. Her focus is always on bringing more production to Florida, where we have locations that can play as “Anywhere USA” and amazing crew. Everywhere from Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, to Miami - she can sell locations that will work for most films, shows, or commercials. Jacksonville Film Festival is an annual international film festival that showcases American and international independent films. The film festival is a non-for-profit-organization. -- Links: 2022 Jacksonville Film Festival - https://jacksonvillefilmfestival.com/2022 2022 Festival Schedule & Tickets - https://jacksonvillefilmfestival.com/2022-film-guide More on Eventbrite - https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/2022-jacksonville-film-festival-66779 Donate - https://jacksonvillefilmfestival.com/donate Tickets are a donation to the Jacksonville Film Festival.
