Join us at the Layered Cake Artistry Studio for a for a fun and unique cake decorating experience. Couples welcome! Join us at the Layered Studio for our first couples cake decorating class where two students can share one cake! (Please note: for those that wish to share a cake, both a Primary Ticket and a Couples Ticket must be purchased). In this fun and unique cake decorating class you and your partner will learn how to cover your own 6” cake in a beautiful smooth buttercream finish and create a painted leopard print design with a pink buttercream wrap. All materials and tools needed to create this cake will be provided by us. Simply show up ready to have fun, be creative, and eat cake! In this class, we will cover: The fundamentals of working with buttercream, including our tips and tricks on how to get the silkiest buttercream ever, how temperature is key to a smooth finish, and our recommendations on Swiss meringue vs. American buttercream Our recommendations for coloring buttercream, including our preferred types of color and brands How to properly frost a cake in a smooth finish with sharp edges, How to create a buttercream leopard print design using edible paint and metallic luster dust How to properly arrange bleached and fresh florals on your cake What is included: Three hours of instruction Charcuterie cones, desserts, and drinks to give us the energy we need to decorate our little hearts out! A 6-inch cake (flavor TBD) that is ready to be decorated by YOU A cake box to bring your gorgeous creation home in (our cakes freeze well so you can pop the box in your freezer until you are ready to eat or gift it!) Notes: Absolutely no experience is necessary Registration ends Monday, January 31, 2022. Class may be canceled, and a refund given if the minimum number of students is not met. Week of cancellations are only entitled to a 50% refund OR ticket may be transferred to another individual.
