Make & Serve DINNER at the VOA Center for Women & Children We are so thrilled to be able to serve both the VOA Homeless Youth Resource Center and the VOA Center for Women & Children in February and March. We can't wait to see you there. THIS IS FOR DINNER AT CENTER FOR WOMEN & CHILDREN | 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Wear closed-toe shoes, mask, and comfortable clothing. If you have a Love Lake City T-shirt, this is a great time to sport it. Come prepared to make and serve with a smile. Volunteers ages 16+ only. No photos of the clients (youth staying at the Resource Center). A group photo and task photos of volunteers may be taken during the project as long as no clients are in the photos. Respect the privacy of all youth staying at the center. All food will be purchased by Love Lake City, thanks to the donations raised at the Food Truck Party in Sept 2021. No other outside foods are allowed. ♥ __________________________ ***In continuing our mission to raise compassion through service and to serve those experiencing homelessness, addiction, and/ or mental illness, we are making and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at both the VOA Homeless Youth Resource Center and the VOA Center for Women & Children. VOA Center for Women & Children is a detox center providing a safe place to start the journey to recovery. Detoxing is a common road block to entering recovery programs and women experiencing addiction often find it more difficult to leave abusive and dangerous environments due to having to first detox before entering other resource centers and programs. By providing a meal as a volunteer, we support these individuals in experiencing the feeling of a community wanting to help and engage in their success.
