We will be heading out to clean up Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturday, Jan.29th to make it more green and beautiful!! Join Houston International Jaycees for the first volunteer event of 2022!! 15 members are needed to head out for clean-up and keep Buffalo Bayou park beautiful for all of Houston. What: Buffalo Bayou Clean Up Volunteer Event When: Saturday, January 29th, 2022 from 8:15 AM-11:30 AM Location: 105 Sabine Parking Lot - 105 Sabine Houston Tx - Tentative location to meet. You must sign the volunteer waiver form. The volunteer coordinator at Buffalo Bayou Park will email exact meeting location and parking information 2 days prior to 1/29/21. Duties can include: Trash pick-up, weeding, spreading mulch, and trail clean-up. Lunch will be at Piggy's Kitchen & Bar from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Location: 3412 W Lamar St, Houston, TX 77019 Current HIJ members have until Saturday 1/15/21 11:59 PM to reserve there spots before this event is open to the public! COVID-19 Safety Procedures: Buffalo Bayou Park volunteer activities are implementing additional safety measures including: Limiting the number of people for each of the activities Proper social distancing will be maintained Disposable gloves will be available Masks are recommended for this event and can be wore at all time. Hand sanitizers will be provided for this event. COVID Self-Health Check screening will be conducted as well 2 days prior of event. Volunteers MUST sign the volunteer waiver by Thursday January 27th to have the most current information in this event. The volunteer coordinator will contact all volunteers who signed the volunteer waiver with the exact location and activities for this event.
