Looking for a female singer for my recording project. You will get paid for this project! Looking for someone whose voice is somewhere between Amy Lee of Evanescence and Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless. I’m not looking for a professional, you just need to have the talent to complete the project. I’m looking for the recording to be only “demo” quality. The 2 songs are NOT hard rockin’ but they need vocals with a rock style. The best way to describe my songs is “eerie goth” with both acoustic and electric guitar parts, keyboards, bass and possibly some percussion. Here is the breakdown of the expected process and what you’ll get paid: First meet at a local rehearsal studio to audition for 1-2 hours to sing a couple cover songs that are similar in style. I’ll pay for the room. You won’t get paid for the audition. Just bring your voice. If you’re accepted: 1. $200 to learn two original songs at your pace. They already have lyrics but I’m always willing to adapt to something that’s better. 2. $200 total for 2-3 practice sessions at a local rehearsal studio 1-2 hours each. The number of sessions and length depends on you. If you’ve got them down we’ll move on to the next step quickly and you’ll still get the $200. 3. $200 for first recording session. Expected to be 3-4 hours, but the length really depends on you to get through the lead vocals. 4. $100 for second recording session. Expected to be 1-2 hours to shore up the lead vocals and do any needed backup vocals. 5. $100 for third recording session. Expected to be 1-2 hours to finalize vocals. If this step isn’t needed, you’ll still get paid the $100. Recording sessions will take place at the Tone Factory in Las Vegas. I’m not picky about where the practice session will be but it’s best to use an actual rehearsal studio. There will be a week or two between each step so I can work on figuring out what’s good and what’s not good about the previous step, to work more on my parts to compliment yours, and to give me some time between payments. BONUS: These 2 songs already have lyrics but if you are good at writing lyrics and I think they’re better than the ones I have you will get more money. This amount will have to be negotiated depending on whether you want to own them and be equal partners in the songs or want to sell them to me. If you want to write your own lyrics, it’s best not to hear the vocal parts I already have. If you write the lyrics you will be credited as the writer, if not the writer of the lyrics I already have will get the credit but you will be credited as the vocalist. You are a musician and so am I. If I was doing musical work for someone, I would expect to get paid for my time so if you work with me, you will get paid for your time. Just put in the effort to make the songs the best you can within the agreed upon timeframe. Because this is craigslist, I’m not just going to send you my original songs without accepting you as my singer that’s why we will play a couple cover songs for your audition. I have one song in mind, and you can pick one that is of the same style listed above if you want. If you have a video or something else I can listen to that would be great but it’s not necessary. The audition is good enough for me because I know what kind of voice I’m looking for. Looks and age mean nothing to me only voice talent matters. I hope to hear from my singer soon!!!
