Nike is a one year old (12/08/2020), female (not fixed) red merle, Catahoula leopard dog. She has a very lovable and motivated personality. She is very high energy that can be redirected into training and ranch work. Nike is originally a service dog in training. Great with other dogs, kids, adults, cats, and all forms of livestock. She is an amazing companion and working dog. She loves all forms of affection and can never get enough. She will sleep next to you at night and become your shadow, following you throughout the day. Very curious and adventurous to new things and places.   As a service dog in training she has been task trained to cardiac alerts, anxiety/panic attack alerts, PTSD alerts, deep pressure therapy, self-harm distraction, and some faint alert response. Along with these tasks she is in the process of public access training. And trained in basic obedience. She is being given away to no fault of her own. She is too small for mobility and guidance work which is what I need. However, for someone with other non-mobility or guidance services, she will make an amazing service dog.   Nike has been exposed to ranch life and ranch work. She is still learning to work cattle and horses as well as sheep but has learned a herding command to herd. She does not attack chickens or ducks. She respects a horse’s space and will not chase them when they run off unless commanded too. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!! Want to make sure she goes to a good home!
