Description
SEEKING:
• Experienced bass player who can play authentic sounding parts for a variety of classic genres. Those include pop music, light rock, crossover that is more Americana than country, and a little funk/R&B sometimes.
• Prefer to work with someone in our age group, which is approaching retirement age. However, not a geezer band! Lots of energy tunes and not much dinner set material.
• Must be totally OK playing out once or twice a month, while also OK having at least half of all weekends totally open.
• MP3’s of all arrangements will be provided.
• One 2 hour rehearsal a week on a weeknight is normal
• Must still be working to improve! Whether that is tone, chops or equipment - it is a journey that one never fully arrives at a destination for!
• Preference to someone who can add some vocals and feels comfortable doing that. Would especially like a harmony expert - would still consider someone that doesn’t sing at all.
• Looking for a potential LTR! That is, looking for a person that we can really work with and have fun with, in addition to seeing significant musical skill.
• Male or female! Preference is for the right individual whether male or female.
If this sounds like a potential fit more information can be provided, including some video excerpts of live shows done within the last year or two.
