Our organization has a gorgeous SD available for adoption. Please read the ad carefully: You will be required to fill out an application and provide required documentation to show your need. Long term care facilities, schools, churches & other service organizations are encouraged to apply as well (different application process) Adoption Fee: Based on need and sliding scale. Please note we will be asking you to disclose financials and complete a worksheet to determine adoption fee. Sponsorships are available for qualified persons. About the dog: We do not disclose information about the dog(s) available until after the application is completed. Our board will look at the needs of the owner and compare to the service the available dog provides. Matching is left to our trainers and handlers and based on the way in which the SD and potential owner interact during a "meet & greet" session. Current dog available has the following: All necessary vetted items as required by the ADA. Basic obedience training. Service skills trained: Wheelchair or cart pull assist, balance and fall assist, fall alert, and PTSD responses assist. Current dog would be eligible as an emotional support animal but the same application process applies. Therapy team handlers welcome to apply. Please reply via craigslist email only.
