BACKGROUND: I have a Goodman three ton heat-pump which is five years old. The air handler and condenser are working. The air-handler is in the attic above the garage. The condenser is outside on the side of the garage. I am looking to do this job on Saturday 1/22 or Sunday. Will pay cash in hand. JOB: 1. disconnect the condenser from the unit and relocate approximately 50 feet to opposite side of the house. This would entail recovering the freon from the existing unit prior to cutting off the electric. 2. add a 12" duct line to the handler, creating a second air-intake about 30 feet from the air handler. 3. reconnect the unit, replace existing thermostat and rewire/configure system to work correctly. I will pay a licensed electrician to move the electric lines. What would you charge for labor? Any idea what parts would cost? I will pay for all parts.
