62 Mile Ruck & fundraising opportunity supporting our local kids battling Childhood Cancer! Do to the fact that none of our local hospital systems have Pediatric Oncology Teams in the community, our childhood cancer families have to travel outside the area, to amazing facilities like American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin & Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois for the majority of their treatment . This travel for treatment causes a host of issues piled on top of battling childhood cancer. To raise money for our local families, and to let our young warriors know that we see what they are going through each and every day, we are holding our first annual "Warrior 62"! We are going to Ruck from the Children's Hospital in Madison to Freeport, Illinois carrying Rucks with a pound for each local child we support (40#'s). The trail is 62 miles from beginning to end and will be a straight through ruck. If you'd like to take part, but aren't able to do the 62, stop out and walk the first mile with us, we'd love to have your support! We will have more information coming as we get closer to the event.
