Learn the basics of preserving food safely with freezing.
Either preserving what you raise or buying local foods for your family, learning to properly store these foods is important. In this class you will learn the basics of preserving food safely with freezing, water bath canning and pressure canning. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of freezing, how freezing affects food, freezer selection, food safety guidelines, packing materials, freezing guidelines and methods. The registration fee includes tasting and taking home samples.
The registration fee is $25.00. Participants must register on Eventbrite by January 27, 2022. This class is limited to 25. There will be no refunds for the registration fee. This class will be subject to cancellation if less than 5 people are registered. If the workshop is cancelled, the registration fee can be used for a future program.
