Learn the basics of food preservation with pressure canning.
Either preserving what you raise or buying local foods for your family, learning to properly store these foods is important. This class will cover methods of preserving food, food safety guidelines, pressure canning, equipment needed (jars and lids), sterilization, filling and sealing jars, storing home-canned food and methods not recommended. The registration fee includes sample and booklet.
The registration fee is $25.00. Participants must register on Eventbrite by February 9, 2022. Class is limited to 20. There will be no refunds for the registration fee. This class is subject to cancellation if less than 5 people registered. If the workshop is cancelled, the registration fee can be used for a future program.
