Does your child have what it takes to be Loveland's Little Miss Valentine or Little Mr. Cupid? Does your child have what it takes to be Loveland's Little Miss Valentine or Little Mr. Cupid? Does your child like to dress up and ham it up on stage or strut down the runway?  If so, enter your little sweetheart into the annual Little Miss Valentine and Little Mr. Cupid Contest. It's all a part of the Loveland Sweetheart Festival in Historic Downtown Loveland.  Dress your little Miss Valentine in all things LOVE or your Little Mr. Cupid like the winged god of love and have fun competing for the title and even more FUN spreading LOVE all over LOVELAND!  There are 2 different age categories: 0-2 and 3-4 year-olds.  Contestants will be judged on creativity of costume and personality.  There will be a panel of local celebrity judges there to award the prize packages to the winners. Currently, the plan is to hold the show indoors again this year on the Rialto Theater stage, though if guidelines for large gatherings from the state or county changes, we will inform you if the event were to move to the outside stage. Good luck to all contestants!     FAQs What are the prizes for the winners? There will be 4 grand prize title winners: >  Little Miss Valentine Age 0-2 >  Little Miss Valentine Age 3-4 >  Little Mr. Cupid Age 0-2 >  Little Mr. Cupid Age 3-4 Each of these winners will receive a prize package worth $100 including an official sash, a crown or arrow, gift certificates and other Loveland merchandise.   All entrants will receive an official Little Miss Valentine and Little Mr. Cupid certificate.   What time do participants need to arrive at the Rialto Theater? All participants must check in at the theater between 10:00 - 10:30AM with a parent or guardian.  No refunds will be given for participants who fail to arrive on time. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Your child will not need an ID, however, they do need to meet the age requirements.  This is a contest for children 0-4 years old, the participants cannot be older than 4 on the day of the contest, February 12th.  They must also register for their category according to their age as of that date.  Will masks be required? Yes, except for children 2 and under. We will be following Larimer County's mask mandate, which currently requires everyone age 3 and up to wear face masks at all times in indoor public spaces (like the Rialto Theater). The mandate does allow for masks to be removed for performances, so children age 3 and 4 who are competing may remove their mask for judging on the stage, but must put it back on immediately afterwards. Find Out More: Official Larimer County Mask Mandate Will you accept late or on-site registrations?   No, unfortunately, we need to know how many participants there are at least 48 hours in advance so that we can print up their official certificates and registration numbers.  Can I get a refund if we decide not to participate? As long as you cancel through EventBrite by Thursday, February 10, you can receive a full refund (minus EventBrite fees). Sorry, we are unable to offer refunds after February 10th for any reason unless we are forced to cancel the event, in which case, all participants will receive a full refund. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No. But if you can bring a printed copy OR your eticket on the eventbrite app it will help the check-in process move swiftly.   Can parents walk their children across the stage? Yes, because this is an infant/toddler competition, we understand that parents will be needed in some cases to help their children onto the stage.  However, we will leave that up to the parents' discretion. If the child would like to and is able to safely walk across the stage then we encourage them to do so. However, parents are not allowed to be in costume.  Do you have to live in Loveland to enter the competition? No, contestants do NOT have to live in Loveland.
