We are looking for some short term labor assistance on a small construction project in Port Townsend. This would qualify as a part-time position as we will not require assistance every day of the week but full days when the crew is on site should be expected. The project is expected to run for at least another 4-6 weeks and assistance for as much of that as possible would be great. Construction experience is ideal but not necessary as long as you can take direction well and are up for the physical demands of the position. We are looking for labor to assist with the construction of a timer frame solarium as well as a sprayed concrete dome. The position includes: - Concrete work - Lifting 50lb bags of concrete into the mixer and hauling it into place - Moving and placing insulation with a spray adhesive - Wood working & hauling beams, we do have a winch for larger pieces - Sanding & finishing wood - Bending rebar with a devise - General job site cleanup and material moving - Using power tools - Installing vapor barriers and siding - Interior finish work - Other tasks as assigned... Additional projects we may end up doing for the client include installing a metal roof on a yurt and installing a large greenhouse. Must have a positive working attitude and solid work ethic. Having your own tools or truck are a bonus but not required. We are offering $20 an hour and the opportunity to learn about large-scale 3D printing of concrete if desired.
